The department follows the SEP curriculum prescribed by Bengaluru City University, integrating core Commerce subjects with applied specializations in Finance, Accounting, Taxation, Human Resource Management, and Marketing. The curriculum is research-oriented and designed to develop analytical ability, industry awareness, and decision-making skills.
The programme includes compulsory internships and project work, providing students with real-time industry exposure and practical application of concepts. Through seminars, workshops, research activities, industrial visits, placement and training activities, skill-enhancement training, students are prepared to meet modern business challenges.
Graduates have wide career opportunities such as Accountant, Auditor, Tax Consultant, GST Practitioner, Financial Analyst, Banking & Insurance Executive, HR Professional, Marketing & Sales Specialist, Digital Marketer, Entrepreneur, and Business Consultant.
There is also significant scope for higher and professional studies, enabling students to pursue courses such as MBA, M.Com, CA, CMA, CS, CFA, CPA, ACCA, Financial Modelling, Data Analytics in Finance, and specialized certification programmes that strengthen global employability.

Eligibility for Admission
A candidate who has passed two years Pre-University Examination conducted by the Pre-University Education Board in the State of Karnataka or any other examination considered as equivalent thereto shall be eligible for admission to these programmes.
